Where are the Russians going to winter?
Russians are more actively planning long-term foreign trips for the winter: the share of wintering in bookings from November 2026 to March 2027 reached 44.1%, which is 8.9 percentage points more than last season.
The leader among the directions for long rest remains Thailand (40.3% of winter reservations), the average cost of a night is 12 thousand rubles. Second place. China (10.2%), interest in which has increased significantly (from 4.4% to 10.2%); living there costs an average of 13.5 thousand rubles a day. Third position takes Vietnam (7.3%) – the most affordable of the top destinations: a night in a hotel – an average of 7.2 thousand rubles.
The top five also included Indonesia (5.2%, 11.1 thousand rubles per night) and Japan (4.7%), where accommodation is the most expensive among the leaders – 17.6 thousand rubles per night. Demand for Japan, India and Australia increased markedly, with their share increasing by 1.8, 1.7 and 1.5 percentage points respectively. At the same time, interest in Morocco, Mauritius, the UAE, Sri Lanka and Malaysia decreased.
Housing preferences also change: travelers often choose either premium options or flexible formats (apartments, guesthouses). The share of four-star hotels decreased to 32.5%, three-star - to 25.2%. At the same time, the popularity of five-star objects increased to 22.6%, and options without stars – up to 15%.
The services of personal guides are becoming more and more popular, especially on busy routes such as Thailand, China and Vietnam.
