Where do Russian downshifters winter?

Specialists of the tour service Biletix analyzed the statistics of bookings of air tickets and named the countries where Russian downshifters go for the winter.

The company’s experts studied the data of purchases with departure in December 2019 and return to Russia in February-March 2020.

The largest number of bookings were Thailand (12%), Vietnam (11%) and Spain 6 percent. Close the five most popular routes USA and Indonesia (Bali)

Over the year, the list has changed significantly: in 2018, the leaders of the top were Thailand, Indonesia (Bali), Armenia, Turkey, the UAE.

Every fifth (21%) ticket was purchased in the Russian city. Demanded domestic destinations - St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Mineral Waters, Sochi.

A third of buyers are residents of Moscow, 8% - St. Petersburg, 7% - Kazan.

17% of users who travel abroad for winter travel with children. More than half (53%) of them are women.
The average travel time is 62 days. Such trips are not a spontaneous decision, they are usually booked 49 days before departure.
