St. George's ribbon in 360 m

More than 1,000 students and representatives of youth organizations of the CIS countries will take part in the action in honor of the International Youth Commonwealth Day, which will be held on April 25 at the Friendship of Peoples fountain on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. As the organizers of the action, activists of the youth movement “Young Russia” told Kazinform, boys and girls will line up around the fountain “Friendship of Peoples”, holding the longest and widest ribbon in history. Its length will be 360 m, width - 1 m. The “living” St. George ribbon will become a symbol of the unity of the history of the peoples of the former USSR and a symbol of pride for the peoples who defeated fascism. The fountain of “Friendship of Peoples” with a huge St. George ribbon will unite young people around them, who honor the memory of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. During the action, the participants of the movement “Molodnya Russia” will hand over St. George ribbons to representatives of embassies for transfer to their countries so that citizens of the Commonwealth of Independent States remember and preserve the memory of their ancestors who heroically fought with the enemy and 65 years ago came to Victory.
