The head of Rosturizm called the prospects of summer outbound and domestic tourism
At an online meeting with deputies of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova explained the prospects for outbound and domestic tourism in the current summer season.
According to Doguzova, now it is impossible to name the timing of the resumption of international tourism, because Russians are not ready to receive abroad.
There is no official notification that they [foreign countries] are ready to receive our tourists at the moment. With meaningful explanations of how their safety will be ensured.”
“As soon as we receive specific dates from our partners, subject to the relevant decisions of our regulatory bodies, Rospotrebnadzor, we are not going to artificially restrain the trips of our citizens,” the head of Rostourism said. “But so far I do not see prospects for outbound tourism this summer,” she concluded.
Zarina Doguzova emphasizes that the priority of this summer is the rest of citizens inside Russia, and the most popular types of recreation of Russians are health, active, ecotourism.
The expert notes that the Ministry will pay serious attention not only to the traditional mass directions of the South of Russia.
Our summer holidays and sanatorium-resort treatment are associated exclusively with the south of Russia. This year we will open little-known destinations for ourselves and our citizens from the point of view of the sanatorium and resort complex – the Russian Baltic, the Kaliningrad Region, the Resort District of St. Petersburg and others. We have excellent sanatorium and resort complexes in the Urals <...> Bashkiria is very attractive in this regard.
“Exit from quarantine cannot be universal for all regions. The phasing of the exit is important – when and in what geography the regions will open, who will be able to travel there. Someone can go on a quick path of lifting restrictions, and someone on a calm one, Zarina Doguzova said.
The head of Rostourism stressed that the regions play the first violin here, which, together with Rospotrebnadzor, must decide whether tourism at the first stage will be possible only for its citizens, for residents of neighboring regions or immediately for interregional transportation. In turn, Rosturizm will coordinate these issues with Rospotrebnadzor before the end of the week, “so that the regions have a benchmark.”
Z. Doguzova hopes that as the epidemiological situation improves, the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor to the work of tourist facilities in the regions will be softened, citing as an example the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor on the work of sanatoriums, from which a number of impossible points were excluded after the dialogue between the two departments.
She noted that now Rosturizm coordinates with Rospotrebnadzor recommendations on the work of the hotel sector, the cruise industry, beaches, entertainment infrastructure.
