The head of Rosturizm asks the Governor of Kuban not to tighten the rules for the reception of tourists
The head of Rosturizm Zarina Doguzova asks the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev to consider the possibility of settling in hotels from August 1 tourists with a vaccination or PCR test.
According to Doguzova, the key task of Rostourism is to give tourists the opportunity to travel safely, and business – to work.
“We recommend that people be vaccinated where possible, unless there are medical or other contraindications, so that the situation returns to normal as soon as possible and restrictions are gradually lifted. At the same time, focusing on the current world experience in organizing trips within and between countries during the pandemic, I appealed to the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory with a request to consider the possibility of accepting tourists with a negative PCR test. We believe that this, along with the strict implementation of all necessary precautions, will ensure safe rest in the current summer season, said the head of the Federal Tourism Agency.
On June 24, Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said that Kuban hotels will accept tourists from July 1 only if there is a negative test for coronavirus or a document confirming vaccination. From August 1, guests will be accepted only with a certificate of vaccination, except for those who have medical contraindications. Kondratiev explained these decisions by the deterioration of the epidemiological situation in the region.
Tour operators said that the new requirements of the authorities of the Kuban will disrupt the tourist season. The region misses 20% of tourists in July and 80% in August, which is considered the most popular month for trips. The total loss of tourist traffic for the season will reach 35%.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia reports that now in Russia vaccinated about 12% of the population. And since 21 days must pass between the first and second vaccination, only those who managed to get vaccinated with the first component before July 7-8 will be able to come in August.
