Pumpkin race
In the German city of Ludwigsburg, a traditional festival dedicated to the autumn harvest takes place. This year, participants and guests of the holiday managed to see an unusual show - a pumpkin regatta, which was held in a pond near the city landmark - Ludwigsburg Palace. Boats - participants of the competition were made independently, from pumpkin fruits. In order for the boat to sail, one pumpkin weighing up to 90 kilograms is needed, from which the seeds and pulp must be removed. This unusual celebration is due to the fact that each year a certain theme is set, this year it became a maritime one. Also in the program of the festival there is a culinary competition, chefs will prepare a lot of unusual and sometimes shocking dishes from the pumpkin. According to general estimates, about 500 pumpkins took part in the celebration this year.
