Ski season in Sochi starts on December 6

The all-season resort "Gorki Gorod" will open its doors for lovers of alpine skiing a week earlier than last year - on December 6, RIA Novosti reports.

A year ago, the solemn opening of the Sochi resort took place in mid-December. This year, the tracks will be available for tourists almost a week earlier.

The tracks of the all-season and mountain resort "Gorki Gorod" will be the first to open for riders in test mode. At 8:00 they will be checked and prepared by rescuers and avalanche service workers. From 9:00 the tracks will be available to everyone.

It is specified that now the slopes of the Circus-2 zone are being prepared for opening. Avalanche safety is constantly monitored by employees of the Federal Meteorological Service at the resort.
