The state Duma proposes not to separate families when seating on the plane
Parliamentarian Vasily Vlasov believes that now most airlines give seats on the plane to passengers at their discretion.
Often, members of the same family are seated in different parts of the plane, which can be dangerous in an emergency when a child goes looking for parents and vice versa. It is necessary to oblige airlines to put relatives next to each other.
“Such a nervous situation will contribute to panic, and also increases the risk of non-compliance with safety rules in emergency situations, and, accordingly, the risk to the life and health of citizens increases,” Vlasov’s letter to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrich, who, on the basis of the above, proposes to oblige airlines to give families seats next to each other, is quoted by RIA Novosti.
Seating of passengers in random mode is carried out, for example, airlines “Victory” and Ryanair. An additional fee is charged for registration at neighboring seats in the cabin.
