Greenland is falling to pieces
A huge ice island, four times the size of Manhattan, broke away from the glacial part of Greenland. According to scientists, this iceberg is the largest in the Arctic for the last fifty years. What was the reason? There are many versions, but most researchers are inclined to believe that global warming is to blame. The area of this iceberg is 260 square kilometers, the thickness reaches 50 meters. Many fear that from the glacier drifting between Canada and Greenland, can break off pieces, as scientists find it more and more cracks.
