India will issue visas to Russians for five years
The process of simplifying the visa regime between India and Russia began about a year ago. Indian Ambassador to Moscow Pankaj Saran said last week that the Indian leadership will allow the issuance of visas to Russian citizens for five years.
“We have simplified this regime a few days ago. Citizens of the Russian Federation who apply will be able to obtain visas for up to five years for multiple entry to India for tourism and business, the ambassador said at a press conference.
Pakanj Saran said that the electronic visa system will simplify the entire procedure. If a citizen sends an application in electronic form, then it will be possible not to travel to the embassy or consulate.
