From the airport in Sochi will fly “Swallows”

In May 2013, Russian Railways will launch a new “Swallow” express train between the airport and the city center of Sochi.

Lastochka high-speed trains were created by specialists of the German concern Siemens specifically for Russian railways on the standard Desiro platform.

Swallows are designed for suburban traffic and can reach speeds of up to 160 km / h. They are equipped with a passive passenger safety system and consume 30% less energy compared to electric trains currently in operation.
