From which countries do tourists come to Russia?

Inbound tourist flow to Russia for the winter season 2025/2026 increased by 5-10%, mainly due to tourists from Arab countries, according to the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT).

“The winter season has been active and is now ending. Demand is stable, an increase of about 5-10% compared to last year. The vast majority are Arab tourists. OmanKuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. From February 15, before Ramadan, they will return home in 2-3 days. We expect the next peak in April-May, said Sergey Voitovich, Chairman of the PCT Committee for International Affairs.

Unlike the Europeans, the Arabs are attracted by the Russian winter with snow and frost - for them it is exotic. The audience has changed: formerly dominated by European pensioners avoiding winter, now by a young, active, frequent travel public from the Gulf. Europeans booked long and in advance, Arabs – spontaneously, usually for a week or less.

Arab tourists will remain the driver of tourist flow in the summer. They travel alone or in groups. If earlier these were premium customers, then with the weakening of the ruble and growing interest in Russia, tourists with democratic requests appeared. The average check is $1,500 per person.
