Israel and Russia negotiate mutual recognition of vaccination certificates

Israel is negotiating with Russia on the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates.

Israeli Tourism Minister Yoel Razvozov said the country will open to the first groups of foreign tourists on September 19, but will allow those who are vaccinated with drugs recognized by American and European regulators to enter the country. Russian vaccines do not yet fall under this parameter.

So far, this is being discussed at the level of the Ministry of Health, then at the level of the Foreign Ministry. I know that, yes, such negotiations are underway. It's not my responsibility yet. I know that the Russian Minister of Health is expected to visit Israel. I think that some things will be discussed more deeply there, maybe some decisions will be made. Our job is tourists. And it is important, very important that tourists do not put themselves in danger.”

Yoel Razvozov said that Israel expects to open to Russian tourists as part of organized tour groups in October. And in November to open the borders for independent travelers from Russia. But it will be "Russians who are vaccinated, who are ill, who have antibodies."
