Israel to recognize Sputnik V vaccine by December 1
Israel intends to recognize the Sputnik V vaccine by December 1 and Russian certificates of coronavirus patients in the past six months.
This was stated by the Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov, who arrived in Russia on a visit. Only those who received the second dose of Sputnik no later than six months ago will be able to enter Israel. The minister said that the representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Health who arrived with him were impressed by the level of laboratories where Sputnik V is produced and the way the public services system works. The minister stressed that unvaccinated children will not be able to visit Israel yet, but this issue is being worked out - perhaps they will take more PCR tests.
Razvozov noted that Israel is now working on a mechanism for recognizing Russian serological tests for antibodies - if the titer is high, the test will be equated to a vaccination certificate.
