To the “resort” fee from tourists will add “recreational”?
The initiative of the next tax on tourists was made by Vladimir Poletaev, a senator from Altai. He believes that in some regions of Russia should introduce recreational collection.
“The collection is needed for regions where there are resorts, and for other popular Russian territories among tourists” – Altai Mountains, Buryatia, Kamchatka, the Golden Ring of Russia. The burden on infrastructure is growing, new resources are needed to support and modernize it, he said.
At the same time, the money “earned” from tourists will go for improvement. The flow of tourists is such that utilities do not cope, there are “unauthorized landfills, overloaded garbage collection sites”. “Such contributions shall not be onerous and may be paid by tourists upon entry into the region. By analogy with the resort fee, its best size is 30-50 rubles, the parliamentarian said.
Passed through the state Duma the law on the resort fee has caused comments in social networks: “Wanted to relax in Russian resorts?” Pay 100-50 rubles a day. For what? For the patriotic atmosphere, said one of the users of the popular resource.
