How did air travel change during the pandemic?
In 2021, Russian airlines carried 87.5 million passengers on domestic routes: this is 56% more than in 2020, and 20% more than in precocious 2019.

In total, Russian airlines carried 111 million passengers last year: 60% more than 2020 and 13% less than in 2019.
Passenger turnover of Russian airlines in 2021 amounted to 243.3 billion passenger-kilometers (+59% by 2020, -25% by 2019), seat employment - 81.5% (+7 percentage points, -2.4 percentage points).
In December, Russian airlines carried 8.2 million passengers, which is 61% more than in the same month of 2020, and 8% less than in December 2019.
