How is domestic tourism developing in Russia?
Russia plans to allocate 15 billion rubles for the development of domestic tourism in the regions.
The funds will be used for the construction of modular hotels, glampings and campsites to address the shortage of accommodation, which is holding back the growth of tourist trips around the country.
By order of the government, in 2025-2027, non-capital tourist facilities will appear in 55 regions of Russia - modular hotels, glampings and campsites. They will be built not only in popular tourist places, but also in Siberia, the Urals, the Far East, the Arctic and the Far North, paying special attention to new territories.
The advantage of modular hotels is that they can be assembled from finished blocks in a week, whereas capital construction takes years. At the same time, living conditions in such hotels are not inferior to the comfort of a standard hotel room with a bathroom, air conditioning and heating system.
