The second place in terms of costs was occupied by accommodation – 28% – the growth of bookings through online services grew from 26% in 2018 to 32% in 2019.
About 12% are spent on food, 11% on excursions and entertainment. Tourists often refuse to order excursions, and go on their own.
There are differences in travel budget planning depending on gender and age. Women spend more money on living than men (30% and 26%, respectively). Men do not deny themselves in delicious food, studying the gastronomy of new countries, and lay more savings on this item of spending.
The priorities of generations are different: people aged 17-35 and over 35 pledge equal amounts for tickets and accommodation, and young people spend more on food.
This confirms the growing popularity of gastrotourism - the younger generation will learn new states from the cultural and gastronomic side. The older generation spends on excursions and souvenirs - 17% and 3% of votes, respectively.
