Every fifth tourist takes on a trip banknotes of the state in which he goes, stocking them in Russia. Women buy the desired currency before traveling more often - 21% of tourists, men - 18%. Less than a third of Russians (31%) take only dollars or euros and exchange them for local currency at the resort.
Perhaps in the coming season, Russian tourists will more often take a plastic card with them to rest in the country. Turkey. The operator of the payment system “Mir” reported that the Turkish “Ishbank” began to provide acceptance of these cards.
By the beginning of the tourist season, Mir cards will accept 40 thousand outlets and 6.5 thousand ATMs of Ishbank with the largest acquiring network in Turkey. Russians will pay with them in more than 10 thousand Turkish online stores.
The publication Hürriyet Seyahat (Turkey) added Russia to the top 10 countries in terms of tourism spending in Turkey. A few years ago, the decline in tourist flow from Russia was catastrophic. In 2018, Russians on average spent 607 euros (44.5 thousand rubles) on a trip to Turkey. In 2017, spending amounted to 880 euros per person.
