Which regions of Russia have become the best in terms of quality of life?

The RIA Novosti agency has prepared the top domestic regions in terms of quality of life.

Moscow, St. Petersburg, Moscow region top the list of Russian regions.

The analysis took into account 70 indicators of living conditions: income, employment, labor market, housing conditions, security, demography, ecology and climate, health, education level, social infrastructure, economic development, small business development, transport infrastructure. Based on the indicators, a rating score was calculated. The aggregate score of the top three is more than 70 with a maximum of 100.

The top 10 regions with the most comfortable living conditions include Tatarstan, Belgorod region, Krasnodar Territory, Voronezh, Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions, Ugra.

Compared to the rating of 2019, the Leningrad region rose by three points, and ranks eighth.

The regions in the top ten are characterized by a high level of economic development - they accounted for 40% of the total gross regional product of the Russian Federation, retail trade turnover and fixed investment.

The last places on the list were occupied by North Ossetia, Buryatia, Kalmykia, Ingushetia, the Altai Republic, the Kurgan region, the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Jewish Autonomous Region, Karachay-Cherkessia, Tuva.
