What tourist routes are interesting for Russians in 2025?
18% of travelers from Russia prefer only unexplored places, and 34% are more likely to choose new destinations, but sometimes return to favorite ones.
When choosing a destination, most tourists (38%) rely on their own experience. Every fourth (28%) trusts the recommendations of travel agents, and every fifth listens to the advice of friends and relatives.
Exotic countries, such as Vietnam, China or Cuba, arouse interest among Russians: 20% dream of visiting there, 42% consider them attractive, and 16% have already visited these destinations. Among fans of new places, 36% prefer a beach holiday, 29% choose sightseeing tours, 21% go shopping, and 14% prefer active recreation.
The main factors for choosing a new direction among Russians were price (55%), safety (47%) and climate (45%). The culture and history of the country are of less importance – three out of ten respondents highlighted this aspect.
As for flights, 38% of tourists are willing to spend more than 10 hours on the plane to visit a new place. At the same time, 15% prefer routes no longer than five hours, and one in three study participants avoid long flights at all.
