What tourist programs is the Russian government planning for schoolchildren in 2022?
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin said that the government allocates half a billion rubles to ensure that in 2022 more than 100 thousand schoolchildren could travel free of charge to the regions of Russia.
“... we are launching a new program as an experiment, and its main goal is to introduce schoolchildren to the history of their native land in the framework of small trips. So they can learn a lot about what’s next. We expect that this year more than 100 thousand students of grades 5-9 will be able to go on trips with one or even several overnight stays, with interesting excursions and programs and accommodation in comfortable conditions. The government has allocated 500 million rubles for this purpose. This year, 18 regions that implement specially developed tour packages for school-age children will receive subsidies, he said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the educational tourism program for schoolchildren will start in 2022 as part of the federal project to increase the availability of tourist products of the National Project for the Development of Domestic Tourism.
Those 18 regions that have submitted applications to Rostourism out of 30 that participate in the experiment, they meet the criteria that have been determined for participation, and Rostourism will sign agreements with them in the near future. Geography is the most extensive, from Sakhalin to Kaliningrad, from Adygea to Novgorod.
The governors will promptly adopt regulations to establish rules for the participation of schoolchildren in the program. And create registers of performers who will carry out these services.
Citizens will be able to independently choose a tourist route, including excursions, hotels for accommodation of children. I would like to note that this will concern the services that will be included in the register by the regions. The duration of the trip is at least 24 hours, that is, at least 1 overnight stay for the comfort of children when moving.”
Chernyshenko stressed that half a billion rubles will be allocated for the program in 2022, “but only until 2024 it is 3.5 billion rubles.” According to him, the government expects that the cost of travel for each student at the expense of budgets of all levels will be at least 7 thousand rubles, of which 5 thousand will be guaranteed to be allocated from the federal budget.
Russian schoolchildren will have the opportunity to travel in the spring.
