Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism Sangadzhi Tarbayev said that the pilot region for the implementation of the government program to create a network of prefabricated modular hotels — glamping — is likely to be the Crimea.
The goal of the project is a sharp and rapid increase in tourist accommodation in Russia. Now in the domestic tourist market, demand will greatly exceed supply, and it will not be possible to escape from the rise in prices of hotels in the south of the country.”
The only state tool that will balance supply and demand is to increase the number of accommodation facilities in resorts.
“... it was decided to bet on modular buildings of glamping, camping format. The tourist industry has been interested in them for a long time, formalities prevented its implementation.”
After testing the project in the pilot region, it will be scaled to all territories with tourist potential - the Far East, Khakassia, Altai, Baikal.
