Kaliningrad declared “tourist capital of Russia”
First Deputy Head of AP Sergey Kiriyenko at a meeting of the organizing committee for the 80th anniversary Kaliningrad region He called the region “the tourist capital of Russia”.
“People from all over the country go to the Cantata festival, gastronomic events and just admire the unique nature and architecture,” the Kremlin press service quoted him as saying.
Jubilee events, Kiriyenko stressed, should simultaneously honor the history of the liberation of the region during the Second World War and show its modern achievements. Special attention will be paid to war veterans, members of the SVO and workers who restored the region in the post-war years.
