Krasnodar region announced an increase in the size of the resort fee
The size of the resort fee will increase from 10 rubles per day to 50 rubles in Sochi and up to 30 rubles in the rest of the resort areas of the Kuban, which are part of the experiment zone.
The relevant amendments to the regional law were adopted by deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory.
The Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Yuri Burlachko is sure that this is an expected initiative, since the region needs to develop territories, and significant amounts are spent on preparing for the holiday season.
“Quality will continue to be democratic and accessible to anyone. But taking into account the annual growing tourist flow, this will result in amounts quite sufficient to significantly transform the appearance of our resorts, make them more attractive and increase competitiveness in the global and Russian tourism markets.
The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratiev is sure that the increase in the size of the fee is necessary to improve the quality of the resorts in the region, reports NSN.
The resort fee is charged to the Kuban from the middle of 2018. It operates in Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Hot Key and four settlements of the Tuapse district (Novomikhaylovka, Nebuga, Dzhubga and Shepsi).
