MSC Cruises recognizes Russian Sputnik V vaccine on Persian Gulf voyages

On November 3, the cruise company MSC Cruises updated health and safety protocols in the Persian Gulf, and recognized the Russian two-component vaccine Sputnik V on a par with vaccines approved by the EMA (Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson).

The main condition for boarding for Russians is confirmation of the full course of vaccination (the second component must be introduced no later than 14 days before departure) in the original form on paper.

The certificate is required in English, Italian, German, French or Spanish.

In the same paper version, one of the 5 languages must have a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of landing in Dubai and 48 hours of landing in Abu Dhabi.

It is also necessary to present a special insurance policy approved by MSC Cruises. It is better to purchase it together with the cruise from the official representative of the company in Russia - tour operator PAC GROUP. This policy covers the medical costs of tourists in case of detection of COVID-19 and gives the right to a refund if the passenger is forced to stop the voyage.

The Persian Gulf is the only water area that recognizes the Russian vaccine.

According to the rules of the cruise company MSC Cruises, only vaccinated passengers over 12 years old are allowed on board.
