Cruises from Sochi to Crimea will start in May
The first cruise ship from Sochi will call at the Yalta port in early May 2017. This was reported by the Deputy of the State Duma from the Crimea Andrei Kozenko.
It is expected that the cruise service will open on the route Sochi – Novorossiysk – Yalta – Sevastopol – Istanbul. The organization of cruise communication between Sochi and Crimea in the holiday season of 2017 on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation is engaged in Rosmorport. In turn, Yalta Commercial Port will prepare the coastal infrastructure for the organization of passenger transportation by the beginning of the holiday season: it is planned to repair berth No. 2, repair the wall of the protective mole, diving work to examine the bottom at the berth, preparation of sites for cruise buses and repair work in the seaport building.
According to the deputy, the cruise service is about a thousand tourists on each liner, this is a completely new page in the new tourist history of the Crimea.
