Crimean bridge opened: problems and prospects
The opening ceremony of the Crimean bridge, which was personally attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, was held the day before. From May 16, the bridge is accessible to all.
The Crimean Bridge is the longest bridge in Russia and Europe. The facility began construction in February 2016, but launched ahead of schedule – the movement of cars on schedule was planned to open in December 2018. The capacity of the bridge will be 40 thousand cars / day. The journey on the bridge is free and takes no more than 20 minutes.
Experts of the tourist market say that the opening of the Crimean bridge will attract independent travelers who go to the Crimea in personal cars. The news of the early delivery of the bridge even “collapsed” and stopped the sale of tickets for the ferry.
The opening of the bridge should become an advertising campaign for the peninsula, which will attract additional tourists. Unfortunately, difficulties are not excluded, because the "ground" infrastructure - access roads and interchanges have not yet been completed: the Tavrida highway in Crimea is built by 30%, and the "former" roads have not withstand the load since 2016.
The forecast for the season is good – the new attraction of the Crimea will arouse the curiosity of tourists, the increase is forecasted to 10%, and the infrastructure in the near future should be tightened. The growth of tourist flow can reach from 10 to 25%.
The builders of the Crimean bridge gave the object an image of ritual appeal: in social networks published joke tips for travelers.
For example, guests of the peninsula are advised to sit on the track on the bench "Crimean Bridge" on the observation deck overlooking the bridge on the Taman coast. The same is on the Kerch coast. Another suggestion is to take a selfie against the background of the monument to Lermontov. It was he who wrote that Taman is “the worst town”. There are recommendations to take shrimp for the cat Mostik and study dolphins that live in the Kerch Strait - "These are bottlenose dolphins and squirrels, they are offended when they are confused with each other." Another suggestion is to record the main hit of the construction - "I clog the pile", and turn it on loudly when entering the bridge.
Tour operators are serious about the opening of the bridge, and recognize that the prospects for the object are great, especially when taking into account the launch of railway communication. Before the opening of the bridge, it was necessary to spend about 3 hours and several thousand rubles on the passage through the crossing, you can pass the bridge free of charge and quickly.
