Cuba will become more accessible to tourists
According to forecasts, Cuba can become an even more affordable destination for tourists.
The reason for this is the pouring of two local currencies: the Cuban and convertible peso.
According to experts, the second type of currency, created specifically for foreigners and pegged to the US dollar, actually harms the tourism sector of the local economy.
The process of merging the two Cuban currencies will take the next 18 months, which will avoid sharp jumps in currency trading. Representatives of the global tourism industry believe that the emergence of a unified peso will not only contribute to the influx of travelers, but also significantly simplify their daily care during their stay on the island.
