Sochi In 2025, 57 beaches received the prestigious Blue Flag certificate.
In 2025, Sochi set a new record for the number of beaches of the highest category - 57 coastal recreation areas were awarded the Blue Flag international environmental certificate. This is an 8% increase compared to the previous season.
Voluntary certification of beaches is carried out according to international standards adapted to Russian conditions. The main selection criteria include the purity of water, accessibility for disabled tourists, the availability of a full-fledged beach infrastructure and maintaining order in the coastal areas.
In addition to the Blue Flag beaches, Sochi has beaches with green and yellow markings that correspond to a good and satisfactory level of service, respectively. According to the administration of Sochi, beaches with “green” and “yellow” flags have every chance to improve their status and become one of the best.
Among the most popular beaches is the beach of the Bogatyr hotel complex in Imereti Bay with a sand and pebble covering of 350 meters.
A small but cozy beach "Vzmorye" in Lazarevsky district with a length of 110 meters is equipped with everything you need: changing rooms, shadow canopies and rescue towers. The legendary "Riviera" stretches for 300 meters along the coast with small pebbles. Wooden flooring provides comfortable movement, and the developed infrastructure includes a medical center, showers, cafes and shops right on the embankment.
Medical beach "Sputnik" with a length of 315 meters offers not only standard amenities, but also unique health treatments, including air baths on special platforms.
