Where are Russians going on November holidays?
Tour operators named the TOP-5 popular routes in Russia for autumn school holidays and holidays.
According to the aggregated estimates of tour operators, at the end of September, sales of tours for school holidays and holiday weekends on the Day of National Unity (from 4 to 7 November) on domestic routes are far from peak: a revival of demand is expected in the second half of October.
Experts of the tour operator Intourist believe that taking into account the usual short sales depth for this year, the peak of bookings for November dates will be two weeks before arrivals.
“Demand is just beginning to sway,” market participants say. Most tourists still tend to book a trip closer to the arrival date.
“The tourist has become more cautious and prudent. Most Russians, assessing the risks of possible new restrictions in the regions against the background of the expectation of a new wave of COVID-19, are not ready to book tours in advance. People want to make sure that the direction is not closed, and that they a few days before the check-in will not require new additional certificates, tests, certificates, etc., – explains the head of “Dolphin”.
Comparing the course of bookings for the November weekend in the 2020 season and the 2021 season, tour operators pay attention to the difference in consumer behavior of tourists.
Among the destinations that most booked with cashback on the organized market during school holidays and the November weekend are KavMinVody, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Sochi and St. Petersburg.
Tour operators called the TOP-5 destinations, which are now the most sales of tours for school holidays and November holidays. Expectedly, this rating is headed by the Krasnodar Territory, where in the top demand rest in hotels in Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana.
The TOP-5 also included Crimea, KMV, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
Sergey Romashkin, the general director of the tour operator Dolphin, adds that many tourists book for the holiday weekend in November and the resorts of Abkhazia in the hope of extending the swimming season.
