Summer 2025: what is the popular sea among Russians?
Interest in rest on the Azov coast in the summer of 2025 has increased significantly among Russian tourists due to relatively low prices for hotels and the reorientation of part of the tourist flow from Anapa, according to the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST).
This season, from domestic beach destinations, Yeisk feels the most stable on the Azov coast - it maintains the highest increase in bookings since the beginning of the year. In winter and spring it was hundreds of percent, but in the middle of summer they did not fall below 30-40%. And although, according to tour operators, increased attention to the resort city led to an increase in prices from 15 to 30% for a number of accommodation facilities, in general, the cost of recreation here remains lower than in the Krasnodar Territory. Plus, the city has a direct railway connection with Moscow and St. Petersburg.”
In April, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted that 141 beaches in Anapa and 9 beaches in Temryuk do not meet sanitary and hygienic standards and cannot be used as part of the summer recreational campaign, but rest in this zone will be possible without swimming in the sea.
