In the summer, tourists from Russia will go to Turkey, Tunisia and Sochi
Ural tour operators note a high demand for foreign and Russian tours in the upcoming summer 2017 season. According to the director of the group of companies “Winter-Summer” Olga Gular, tourists book vouchers to Turkey and Tunisia, among domestic resorts popular Sochi.
Turkey sold very well for the May holidays, despite a letter from Rosaviation about a possible ban on charters. Today, we are seeing sales growth in this area for the summer. On the one hand, sales are driven by a high number of flights (20 per week) and low prices. On the other hand, there is a positive news background: in early May, the media reported that the letter from Rosaviatsia would be withdrawn. Moreover, the Turkish side is ready to increase the number of flights from Russian regions, Olga Gular said.
On May 3, a message appeared in the Russian media with reference to Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who said that the agreements between Turkey and Russia allow the withdrawal of the warning of Rosaviation on charter flights to Turkey.
Tunisia is another destination that is actively booked by the Urals for the summer. According to him, tour operators have developed a number of interesting special offers, as the country should become an alternative to Turkey in the event of its closure. Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Montenegro are popular - seats in popular hotels in these countries are sold out for June.
In this case, the winners were those who booked the tour in February and March. However, tourists who prefer to purchase vouchers closer to the date of departure will still be able to relax on the beaches of these countries, because there are still many places in less popular hotels, which are characterized by good quality service. Among Russian destinations, sales of tours in Sochi are best. Crimea tourists almost do not book, even despite the large discounts offered by local sanatoriums, the expert added.
