Madrid: Metro for art lovers

“The Way of Museums” is the name of the event, which is taking place this spring in Madrid. Anyone who buys a ticket in the subway with the mark “The Way of Museums” will be able to visit 7 museums of the Spanish capital for free. The action involves the Museum of Anthropology, the Mountain Museum, the Railway Museum, the National Museum of Science and Technology, the Science Museum, the National Museum of Natural Sciences, the Royal Botanical Garden. And in order to get into any of them, the owner of the “lucky” ticket only needs to present it at the entrance. The city administration says the move is aimed at increasing the number of visitors to the metro, as well as promoting museums and research centers in Madrid. Where are these cultural tickets sold? At the stations that are close to the following museums: Banco de España, Nuevos Ministerios Marqués de la Valdavia, Gregorio Marañón, Atocha-Renfe, Delicias, Ríos Rosas y Alonso Cano, Atocha. It should be noted that all museums have allocated certain days for visitors participating in the event: the National Museum of Science and Technology - May 8 - 9, the Mining Museum - May 22 - 23, the Museum of Anthropology - May 15 - 16 and the Railway Museum - May 29 - 30. The Royal Botanical Gardens opens its doors on Mondays and the National Museum of Natural Sciences on Fridays.
