Russian tourist flow to the Maldives increased by 2.9 times.
Russia took the first place among all the key entry markets of this country in the first half of 2021 (a share of 24.4% in the total foreign tourist flow). In second place is India, in third – Germany.
In June 2021, 18,727 Russians came to the Maldives, in June 2019 – 4,793 (the growth of the Russian tourist flow by 3.9 times). In July, 17,775 Russians arrived in the Maldives, in the same month of 2019 – 5345 (an increase of 3.5 times).
In May, the share of Russians from the total foreign tourist flow to the Maldives - 30.1%, and in June - 33.3%.
Tour operators are confident that in autumn the demand for the Maldives in Russia will be stable. Egypt and the Dominican Republic will not be able to interrupt it due to the specific format of the holiday and the loyal tourist audience.
With this growth rate, by the end of the year, tour operators say, you can expect 280-300 thousand arrivals from Russia to the Maldives - a record for Russian tourism in the Maldives, these are indicators characteristic of mass destinations.

In January-June 2021, 50,444 tourists from all countries visited the Seychelles, Russia’s share was almost a quarter of all arrivals: namely, 23.35% (11,781 tourists from the Russian Federation). With a margin in second place in terms of tourist flow to the Seychelles in the first half of the year - the UAE (7991 tourists) and the third - Israel (6818).
Compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, when 6,681 tourists from the Russian Federation came to Seychelles in January-June (Russia had the 7th place in terms of the number of arrivals), the tourist flow from Russia increased in 2021 by 1.76 times. Based on the statistics of the Border Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, 82.9% of Russians reached the islands by direct flights.
By the end of 2021, up to 23-25 thousand Russians can visit the Seychelles. It'll be a record. The minimum price for a tour to the Seychelles in the "average" hotel for 10 days with breakfast - from 270 thousand rubles for two.
