Mass poisoning in Turkey caused the interest of Rospotrebnadzor
Recently, it was reported that about 70 Russian tourists sought medical help because of the poisoning. In particular, the most cases of poisoning were registered in the Orient Palace hotels in Alanya and Jacaranda in Belek (about 50 tourists). 15 people were hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis.
Representatives of the Turkish Embassy denied the information about mass poisonings: according to them, checks were carried out in hotels, but no violations of the quality of food were revealed. At the Orient Palace hotel, 15 tourists had an intestinal infection, but this is due not to the quality of food, but to overheating in the sun and abundant nutrition. There were no registered complaints from tourists at the Jacaranda Hotel. Turkish authorities say that the hotels are home to about 1,000 tourists and 7-8 people may experience similar health problems for various reasons.
The Russian Embassy in Turkey says that about 69 tourists from these hotels have sought medical help, all diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. Samples taken by the Health Inspectorate of the province of Antalya did not reveal any pathogens.
Gennady Onishchenko threatened a ban on the departure of Russians on vacation in Turkey if the situation worsens.
