Sea and river cruises in Russia should become more affordable and attractive
The Russian government approved the concept of cruise tourism development in Russia until 2024.
Cruises in Russia will become more accessible to Russians: their number will be increased, cruise tourism infrastructure should be developed and state support measures for enterprises that participate in its creation should be improved.
The Russian authorities intend to expand the route network of Russian cruises: in the Arctic, Siberia, and the Far East, and create new excursion programs.
A thorough approach to personnel training is planned, educational programs will be improved, students of colleges and universities will be able to apply theoretical skills in practice.
The concept was prepared as part of the strategy of tourism development in the Russian Federation until 2035. The action plan for its implementation will be developed by Rosturizm and submitted to the government until July 1, 2022.
