Fraudsters speculate on the topic of “burning tours” because of the war in Iran

Experts warn of the rise of fraudulent schemes associated with so-called “burning tours”, amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Amid instability in Iran and neighboring countries, many Russians who have canceled trips to the region are looking for urgent alternatives to rest — and that’s what the attackers are using.

Fraudsters create fake sites, publish attractive ads in social networks and messengers with allegedly “superprices” for tours to the UAE, Turkey, Egypt or other popular destinations, promising “burning” offers with immediate departure. Payments are required immediately, often through unreliable transfers or cryptocurrency, and after payment, tourists receive either unconfirmed reservations or nothing at all.

“Hustle and haste are the best allies of fraudsters. People in stress do not check the reputation of agencies, do not read the fine print and do not require contracts – and this is where the deception occurs.

Recommendation: take your time. Check companies through official registers (Rostourism, PCT), demand a contract and pay only through secure channels – for example, bank guarantees or payment systems with customer protection.
