Lace Museum in Vologda
November 3, 2010 in Vologda, the cradle of Russian lacemaking, opened the first and only not only in Russia, but also in the world Museum of lace. The museum includes a permanent exhibition of lace products made in the traditions of both Vologda and Western European lace. Here are collected the rarest exhibits of Vologda lace (including products made of gold and silver threads), made according to the sketches of lacemakers of the 19th-21st centuries.
The design of the museum combines traditions and modern information technologies, which makes its visit unforgettable for both women and men, and interesting and entertaining for representatives of different generations. This confirms the fact that for 2 months the museum was visited by about 10 thousand tourists of all ages.
The museum provides an opportunity to “see” how lace is born in the hands of masters, as well as learn lacemaking in classrooms. You can have a snack in the "Lace Cafe", and buy your favorite products from lace - in the salon-store.
The Lace Museum is located at the address of Vologda, Kremlin Square, 12. Opening hours: from 10.00 to 17.00, ticket office until 16.30.
You can order a tour and ask questions by phone (8172) 72-16-56.
