Museum “Words about Igor’s regiment” will appear in Ukraine

In the Ukrainian city of Putivl (Sumy region) there will be a new attraction - the museum "Words about Igor's regiment", the most famous monument of ancient Russian literature, the origin of which most researchers tend to attribute to the end of the XII century.

The museum will be located on the territory of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve Putivlya, where active improvement work is currently underway.

Local authorities note that the region has tourist potential due to its rich cultural heritage and natural resources. Today, among travelers, the route with a stop in the Sofrontievsky monastery is especially popular. In the near future, the Museum of Weapons and Military Equipment will be replenished with new exhibits, which, according to the district administration, will also have a positive impact on the growth of tourist flow.
