In Altai introduced fines for non-payment of resort fee
Deputies of the legislative Assembly of the Altai Territory approved fines for non-payment of the resort fee. The experiment will begin in the region on May 1. town-resort.
This year, tourists will be charged 30 r. /day of residence, in the next - 50 p.
The responsibility of vacationers and operators of the resort fee for failure to fulfill the obligations to pay it and transfer it to local budgets was fixed by the Altai authorities in the same way as in the Stavropol region. Tourists in this case face a fine of 500 to 2 thousand rubles.
Individual entrepreneurs and legal entities will have to pay from 5 to 15 thousand rubles. It is assumed that the protocols will be drawn up by local government officials, and municipal commissions will consider such cases.
Experts believe that the established fines are likely not to help collect money from those who come to the shadow accommodation facilities. It will be difficult to monitor this part of the tourist flow in practice – additional inspections and raids by supervisory authorities are needed.
Other travelers most likely will not and will not be able to evade payment, which is taken when checking in a legally operating hotel. Lawyers believe that the fines introduced in the regions are appropriate, since we are talking about sanctions for violation of the norm provided for by current legislation.
