The first official tour took place on the territory of the Chernobyl exclusion zone Republic of Belarus.

The tour became possible after the entry into force of the decree of President A. Lukashenko on the adoption of a new version of the regulation on the Polesie State Radiation and Ecological Reserve, where “visits for cognitive purposes” were allowed.

The 30-kilometer exclusion zone around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is mentioned, it includes Braginsky, Narovlyansky, Khoiniki districts of the Belarusian Gomel region, there is the Polesie State Radiation and Ecological Reserve.

There are no “graves” of equipment and dead cities that attract “stalkers”, and it is forbidden to climb the fire towers, from where the territory of the Chernobyl NPP is visible. On the excursion, you can visit the evicted villages of Babchin, Dronki, Pogonae and Krasnoye, a museum and a biologist.

Excursion becomes some "ecological tourism", because forbidden for humans territory inhabited by wild animals, "mastered" the former homes of people. Massive excursions will be available from spring.

The territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant with the growth of extreme tourism has become known throughout the world. In November 2009, Forbes (USA) began to call the Chernobyl zone an exotic tourist destination on Earth.

At that time, about 10 tour companies of Kiev conducted trips to the Zone, they were in demand among Poles and Russians.

In 2011, the Ukrainian authorities banned excursions to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The reason is the danger to the health of tourists and the corruption of the authorities, who do not provide funds for the restoration of the Zone.
