In the Philippines began the eruption of the volcano Bulusan
Thousands of Filipinos were forced to flee their homes because of the Bulusan volcano.
On February 21, a column of ash was thrown high into the sky from a volcano with a height of 1,559 meters. For the first twenty minutes, visibility in nearby areas was just zero. Steam and ash rose over the volcano for more than two kilometers.
Nearly two thousand residents were evacuated from three villages located in close proximity to a source of hot lava and ash. Today it is forbidden to be within a radius of 4 km from the mountain. Volcanic ash causes irritation of the mucous membranes of the throat, nose, eyes and skin. Dangerous lung diseases can appear as a result of a long stay in contaminated areas.
The Philippine government also warns that it is undesirable for aircraft to fly over an area of volcanic eruption.
