In the resorts of Goa for drinking alcohol in the wrong places will be fined

The government of the Indian resort state of Goa is going to impose bans on the use of alcoholic beverages in public places. On the resort beaches, drinking is already officially banned, and other public places will also be banned.

Goa's chief minister, Manohar Parrikar, said a law banning the use of alcohol in illegal places would be ready by October, when Goa's high tourist season kicks off. “We should ban, by issuing an official notice, the use of alcohol in public places. The notification will be issued before the end of October, the first minister said. After the law comes into force, tourists will be allowed to drink alcohol only in restaurants and hotel rooms, fines threaten shops if tourists drink from them, right at the entrance.

According to the minister, the logical reason for the ban is the fight for the safety of tourists, according to him, drunken guests of the country in public places create trouble for themselves and others. Of great importance is the fight for the environment – drunk tourists throw and break bottles polluting the streets.
While there is no information about who will “catch” tourists for traditional “picnics in nature” with a large number of libations, and what size will be the penalties.
