More than 3 million tickets requested for 2018 World Cup matches
By January 15, 2018, the number of tickets requested by fans worldwide is 3,141,163. This information is provided by the press service of the organization FIFA.
The largest number of applications were submitted by Russians, followed by sports fans of Germany, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, the United States, Spain, Poland and China. Foreign fans accounted for 38% of all tickets.
The current sales process will run until 12:00 on January 31. You can apply for any game of interest, except for the opening and finals of the competition, for a package of tickets for competitions on a particular venue, and for “fan tickets” of any of the 32 teams participating in the tournament, even for possible playoff matches, if the national team gets there.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of tickets available, then tickets will be available through the random draw system, the results will become clear on March 12, 2018. The draw will not take into account the filing time, meaning earlier requests will have no advantages.
