On the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui allowed entry of Russians with vaccines “Sputnik V”
Travelers who have completed a full course of vaccination with the Russian drug will not need to undergo a two-week quarantine.
Previously, such conditions were only valid for foreigners vaccinated with vaccines from the WHO list.
Thai authorities have allowed foreigners who have been fully vaccinated with the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V to enter Phuket and Koh Samui without going through a 14-day quarantine.
To get to the resort islands under the government programs “Phuket Sandbox” and “Samui Plus”, tourists must apply for an entry permit at the Embassy of Thailand.
Thailand opened Phuket to foreign tourists on July 1. Only those who were vaccinated with World Health Organization (WHO) approved drugs – Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Sinopharm – could come there.
