On the beach in Rio de Janeiro appeared unusual sculptures

An unusual installation in the form of three giant fish appeared on Botafogo beach in Rio de Janeiro. The sculptures are made from used plastic bottles. In the dark, they are illuminated from the inside with blue and red LEDs, which gives the composition a special entertainment. Travel.ru.

The installation was created by an initiative creative group specially for the 20th anniversary UN Conference on Sustainable Development, dedicated to environmental issues, held in Rio from 20 to 22 June. The creators of the sculpture hope that it will attract the attention of the inhabitants of the Earth to the problem of waste disposal. According to the conference, plastic accounts for up to 80% of the garbage floating in the ocean.
