Regular flights from Russian cities to Hainan will be launched
Authority Chinese Hainan provinces are going to open regular flights between the popular resort of Sanya and Russian cities.
Information is transmitted by the news agency TASS, referring to the statement of the Secretary of the party Committee of the city Tun Daochi.
A representative of the Chinese authorities said that direct regular flights to Sanya will be launched from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and later Kazan, Irkutsk, Ufa, Surgut, Yakutsk and other major Russian cities will be added to the list of routes.
The Hainan authorities are ready to subsidize such air transportation for three years to increase their profitability. Taochi believes that the launch of flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg will allow to develop business tours.
Taochi says that air and railway communication is developing in Hainan province. High-speed railways have been built along the perimeter of the island, this road will connect Hainan with the city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong province on the mainland of China. High-speed rail links are planned to Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Sanya resort is located in the south of the island and Hainan province of the same name. The city is popular among Russians because of the comfortable tropical climate, beautiful sandy beaches and warm sea.
Rest there is possible all year round. A 7-day tour to Sanya for two in February starts from 88,704 rubles, including flight and breakfast.
In 2018, 256,000 Russians visited Hainan, 10% lower than in 2017. There is a visa-free regime for Russians.
