Started the sale of tickets in the carriages
On November 17, 2017, Russian Railways again began selling tickets for flat and common carriages with departure after January 1, 2018. This decision was made recently during a government meeting, when Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev demanded to start sales.
Tickets stopped selling from November 3, because the Russian Railways and the Federal Antimonopoly Service could not agree: the FAS proposed to reduce the cost of travel in common carriages by 10% in 2018. Meanwhile, the railway carrier was going to index ticket prices by 3.9%.
As a result, it was decided that the cost of tickets for common and reserve cars in 2018 should be fixed in the same way as in the current year.
