The insurance company ERV paid expenses (7.9 million rubles) for the insured event to a resident of Chelyabinsk, who was vacationing this summer in Germany. For the first time, the amount of the insurance policy was spent in full – 100 thousand euros.
On July 27, a resident of Chelyabinsk complained of acute chest pain, was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction, and surgery was required.
Due to the lack of equipment in the hospital for the operation, the woman was transferred to another medical institution. After the operation, the tourist lay in the hospital for more than three weeks in intensive care in serious condition, complications began.
The attending physician decided to transport the patient to the Russian Federation by air ambulance for subsequent treatment, taking into account the duration of treatment and costs for it, as well as the fact that the insured amount will not be enough.
The cost of hospitalization and surgery is 70,000 euros. On August 23, ERV transported the patient from a hospital in Germany to a hospital in Chelyabinsk. The cost of air ambulance and transportation was 30,000 euros.
